Rose is such an evocative floral. It’s heady, diffusive, light and heavy all at the same time. With different roses from different parts of the world you will get different scent profiles, and you will usually need thousands of kilos of rose petals to produce a single kilo of rose oil or rose otto.

Some roses are bright or crystalline in scent profile whilst others are earthy and ever so diffusive. What you have in our Lingering Rose luxury aromatherapy candle is a shot of quite tenacious and sparkly rose Absolut infused with our house organic frankincense essential oil, hand-poured into a 100% natural soy wax candle.

First the cold throw – the rose Absolut is sparkly, bright and cooled to an icy pitch as it swims in the full bottle of organic frankincense essential oil. You would be forgiven if you stopped there and kept on sniffing the candle unlit, or kept in a cloche, gorging your olfactory senses and escaping into a world of icy white rose which you never knew existed before today.

But the bliss starts in earnest when you light the cotton wick of our candle and experience two of nature’s most diffusive aromatics working together and intertwine their scent profiles in your living space. The scent is sweet yet refreshing. This is not your heady, heavy rose trip, rather more like regular shots of crystal rose sparkle, caressing your senses and introducing you to the zen-like, mesmerising waltz of rose and frankincense.

The unique interplay between the rose Absolut and frankincense is highlighted further after you snuff out the candle. Notice how the frankincense will fade out gradually, but the rose will linger on and continue to scent the room for hours to come.
